Student Eligibility

  1. To be eligible to participate in the games or meets, the student athlete must maintain a "C" average and a passing grade in each subject. It is the student's responsibility to get with his or her teacher(s) and find out what is needed to accomplish this.
  2. If the student has failed to get his/her grade up he/she will not be able to play in the games or meets. This student will not be allowed to practice or participate in games until the teacher feels the student is meeting the requirements.
  3. The student athlete must be in attendance on the day of each contest or practice. Doctor appointments, etc. must be excused in advance by the principal. Missing an entire class or more for illness or an unexcused reason means ineligibility for that day. The principal will make the final determination.
  4. Any student athlete who is suspended from school for any reason will be ineligible to participate either as a participant or spectator, in practices, scrimmages, or competitions during the time of suspension.
  5. Student athletes with injuries such as severe sprains, casts, on limbs, etc. will need a doctor's written permission in order to play in a contest or practice. Casts must be wrapped with a soft padding.

I have read the above eligibility requirements. I (Student Name) ____________________ understand that it is up to me to hand in all required homework. If I fail to keep -my grades up, I will not be able to participate in the competition with my team.

I have gone over these requirements with my (Parent or Guardian) _________________ child and understand them. I also understand that it is my responsibility to provide prompt transportation to and/or from games and/or practices.
