Student Guidelines

  • Student athletes will learn and practice good sportsmanship.
  • Student athletes will respect and support coaches, officials and teammates at all times.
  • Student athletes will never publicly criticize other coaches, officials, or players from any team.
  • Swearing, cursing, or put downs of any kind, to anyone, will not be tolerated
  • Drugs/tobacco/alcohol are prohibited.
  • Student athletes will try and learn how to play the sport.
  • Student athletes will conduct themselves as ladies/gentlemen at all times.
  • Student athletes are responsible for their conduct during practice and games.
  • Every player is expected to cooperate with the principal, the T.E.A.M.
  • Representative, and other coaches and officials in his/her sport.
  • Student athletes will report promptly for all practice sessions and contests and to dress in a manner suitable to ones sport,, (jersey, appropriate shoes, shorts/sweats).
  • To insure the safety of the students, no horseplay is to be tolerated at any time in the gymnasium, on the athletic field, or in the locker/shower rooms.
  • No hazing or initiating pranks are to be tolerated.
  • Be humble in victory and courageous in defeat.
  • Playing time: Athletes who come to practice and work hard on a regular basis shall be afforded equal playing time in regular contests. During tournament games all athletes who have worked hard and have come to practice on a regular basis are afforded greater than token playing time. (i.e. all those students will play, but not necessarily equal playing time.)
  • If the athlete misses a practice, or part of a practice, then the coach has the choice to sit the player out for part of the game in which the player would normally be allowed to play.
  • Players are to remain in gym or event area and cheer for their peers when not playing.
Dress Code:
Students will abide by the school district's dress code. If uniform jerseys are tank top style, and arm openings are considered a male cut (lower and larger openings), then female student athlete will be required to wear a matching T-shirt under her jersey.
