T.E.A.M. Philosophy

First and foremost, these are elementary school children. All athletes who show up and work hard at practices on a regular basis must be allowed equal playing time in regular contests. The emphasis must be placed on learning the skills of the sport and the sport itself, not winning the contest. It would be your job as coach to not only teach them the sport but to have fun doing it.
If we as the athletic representatives for TEAM, determine that there is more emphasis being placed on winning the competition rather than learning the skills and the sportsmanship attitude, then someone will. contact you the coach first. If this doesn't correct the situation, then someone will contact your principal, and discuss our options. In the past, coaches have been asked to step down, when they have not displayed the type of coaching that represents what our schools and this program are about.
The success of our after school athletic programs is based solely on the quality of our volunteer coaches, not how many games or competitions are won. These athletic activities should focus on learning for all students not just competition and winning.
